About
CityPartners.org Mission
Leveraging Chicago's broad economic base, diverse neighborhoods and populous human capital, CityPartners.org will foster an engaged and ever-growing network of private-sector enterprises, nonprofits, civic leaders and creative minds to accelerate the development and delivery of technological products, services and programs that address common City goals and stimulate the entire region's economic growth in the process.
CityPartners.org Organizers
CityPartners.org was founded in 2010 as a public-private sector alliance between IBM, technology provider Openhill, design studio Pixelgate Media, the Goldberg Kohn law firm, nonprofit Green Street Project and several civic and City leaders. CityPartners.org was created in response to feedback from 1,000 government, civic, business, community, and faith leaders who attended seven town hall meetings.
CityPartners.org Focus
As custodians of a global city, Chicago government, business and community leaders see pressing civic challenges and uncover compelling opportunities that can be met with technological solutions. CityPartners.org and the City of Chicago will use their collective convening powers to bring stakeholders together who want to help craft technology-based solutions to continuing challenges facing the City, its residents and its enterprises.--namely in the areas of:
- Economic Vitality (better jobs for residents and more productivity for businesses)
- Civic Engagement (increased participation by residents, community groups and enterprises)
